Amber Karlins is an award-winning screenwriter and producer whose TV drama "Chatham" recently wrapped filming on its first two episodes.. A versatile storyteller with nearly two dozen international accolades, she has been recognized with Best Screenplay at the Charleston International Film Festival, an award of merit at the Women's Independent Film Festival, and placed third in the Best New Screenwriter category at the London Film Awards.
Her screenplay "The American Good Samaritans" was produced as a feature documentary in 2022, winning multiple international honors including "Best Documentary Feature" at the Dreamachine International Film Festival and "Best Humanitarian Feature Film" at Cannes World Film Festival.
Beyond screenwriting, Amber is a prolific writer and editor of both fiction and nonfiction. She has authored half a dozen published books and served as a developmental editor on dozens more. Her short-form work has appeared in publications ranging from McSweeney's to Oxford University Press, and she is also a produced playwright.
